Flag Options for Your Next Expo

Flag banners are an increasingly popular option for outdoor advertising. They are primarily fabric pieces, and are often safe for machine washing, though you’ll still want to add a little salt and keep your whites separate. They come in colourful displays that flap in the wind, attracting the attention of sales prospects while being safe from weather damage.

Your choices for promotional flags are only limited by your imagination. Their lightweight poles are highly portable and easy to assemble, and you can weigh them down, mount them on walls, clip them onto frames, or dig them into the ground. Let’s look at some of the available flag options and how you can use them for your expo booth.

Happy teardrops

Tears aren’t always a sad occurrence, and teardrop banners are among the most popular option as exhibition displays. They come in three sizes and a have conveniently portable carry case. They resist sun, wind, and rain damage, and you can select a wall-mount base; a spike base for earthen floors, grass, and outdoor expos; or cross-shaped water bag base for flat floors. Each teardrop package contains fibreglass shaping poles, your base of choice, and a fabric flag that can be printed on one or both sides, depending on your specifications.

All feathers no poop

Bird feathers are messy, and the birds themselves can present an even bigger cleanliness problem. Fortunately, bali flags and other feather flags have no attendant mess. They can be assembled in minutes and need no tools. The bali variety got its name because it is commonly used in Bali temples, but they can also be used for seasonal promotions like Christmas. Their shape is more triangular than regular feather flags. Feather flag poles rotate in the wind for better visibility.

Take it to the streets

In some places, street lights double up as advertising platforms, with light boxes functioning as promotional space. A more pocket-friendly version of this concept is the street pole. They are often erected by municipal councils, so you can buy space on them. They are eye-catching because they are colourful and flap in the wind. Being larger than feather flags, they move even more dramatically, offering a stronger visual effect. Street poles can be single or double-sided, and are made of polyester fabric in a variety of sizes and finishes.

Represent your nation

National flags are generally used for diplomatic functions, but they can have promotional uses as well. During cultural festivals, you can inspire patriotism and attract customers with a strategically placed national flag. They are also helpful for multinationals, if you’re celebrating an overseas holiday, or a date that has national significance back in your home base. National flags are good for sports-themed events as well. The flags are made of trilobal knitted polyester and are available in customisable and pre-set sizes. Each flag is digitally or screen printed, and has sister clips for easy mounting.

Pimp your ride or store front

Whether you want to show off your logo or simply display an open/closed sign, vinyl store front logos are helpful for your expo booth. They come with wall brackets and removable poles made of plastic. Car flags are similar, but they’re printed on knitted polyester and have mirror image printing on either side. They are designed to clip easily onto car windows and side mirrors, so you can use them to brand the vehicles that are part of your expo crew.

Hand it to the customers

Fans love souvenirs to remind them of an event, and hand flags are convenient and affordable. You can print a logo, message, or even a discount voucher. Hand flags are sometimes called waving flags, and are commonly used at parades. At an expo, you can have promotional teams wave them at the entrance and give them out to passers-by. The flag could be printed with a coupon that they can redeem at your stand. They have plastic poles and can be printed on paper, polyester, or vinyl.

Beef it up with buntings

The most common shape for bunting flags is triangular, but they can also be rectangular or cut-out in design. They can be made of paper, PVC, or synthetic materials, and offer a variety of applications from marking booth borders, to offering directions. You can string them up evenly or jazz it up with alternating colours and designs.
